Business in China is interested in investment in Krasnodar’s projects

Vasiliy Shvets, Head of the Department for Investments and Development of Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship of the Krasnodar Region, and Yevgeniy Pervyshov, Head of Krasnodar, conducted negotiations with a delegation of representatives of large business of the Peoples Republic of China

Wang Yuyhan, the Vice President of China CAMC Engineering Corporation, Li Yakan, a representative of the Chinas Public Development Bank, and representatives of the large international corporation SINOMACH Group. represented the business community of China.

Possible projects for cooperation were discussed during the meeting. First of all, the participation in the development of an industrial park on the territory of the Eastern Industrial Zone of Krasnodar on the territory of 330 ha, the first stage of which is being prepared to be commissioned, was discussed.

The urban transport is another industry for investments. Krasnodar is extremely interested in the development and modernization of the network of the urban public transport. In the near future in Krasnodar, it is necessary to construct nearly 33 km of tram lines to provide supporting new neighborhoods with tram routes and to reconstruct nearly 24 km. The preliminary need for investments in complex modernization of the public transport is 250 million USD. The Head of the City noted that, in conjunction with the Administration of the Krasnodar Region, various alternatives are currently being worked out to raise both public and private investments, including foreign investments, in the development of the public transport in Krasnodar.

On behalf of SINOMACH Group, Wang Yuyhan expressed his interest in the development of projects in Krasnodar and noted the possibility of cooperation on this issue.

Wang Yuyhan called the construction of a modern rubbish recycling plant one of the promising projects for Chinese companies, which can become a start for successful investment and demonstration of opportunities for cooperation between Krasnodar and China.

Vasiliy Shvets and Yevgeniy Pervyshov noted that the 2017th was declared as the Year of Ecology in Russia, and in this regard, the study of experience in waste gathering and recycling will be relevant and useful for Krasnodar.
