Krasnodar Region Ranked Fifth Place in the Country in Terms of Attracting Investments

Kuban conceded only Moscow and the three largest oil and gas regions on these indicators.

These data were presented at this year’s first session of the Commission on Improving the Investment Climate in the Krasnodar Region. Today, about 60 percent of the total investment of the Southern Federal District falls to share of the region. More than 90 percent of such capital was implemented in Krasnodar, Sochi and Novorossiysk. And in the Severskaya, Vyselki and Temryuk districts as well.

693 billion rubles of investments in the Krasnodar region were implemented by the end of 2014. These funds allow implementing 67 major projects, creating more than six thousand of new jobs. Tax revenues from enterprises established with investments attracted are estimated at 3.4 billion rubles. As the Vice-Governor of the Krasnodar region Ivan Peronko emphasized at the meeting, we must make an inventory of all investment projects of the region and form "road maps" to implement them. The main focus will be on creating the infrastructure for investors.

42 major investment projects totaling 53.2 billion rubles is planned to be implemented in the region by the end of 2015. Among them, there are construction of greenhouses and a mini-HPP in the Belorechensk district, the expansion of the agricultural machinery factory CLAAS in Krasnodar, the construction of the plant for the production of polycarbonate in the Dinskaya district and many other projects. Thanks to the new productions, almost three and a half thousand new jobs will be created in the region. Tax revenues to budgets of different levels will rise by a half billion rubles per year.
