Veniamin Kondratyev told journalists about implementation of the national project «International cooperation and export».
– By the year 2024 we will have to build up export volumes of AIC products up to 3.8 billion US dollars. The task is ambitious, however it is feasible. We have already identified commodities with the highest export potential – it is grain, sunflower oil, flour and cereals, starch and malt dextrin, - told the Governor.
The Head of the region specified that Krasnodar region exports grain to 80 countries across the globe. Within the framework of the national project it is planned to increase the supply volumes from 12.7 million tons up to 15.5 million tons, i.e. by 21%. In addition, due to using elite seeds, implementation of new technologies, restoration and construction of ameliorative systems it is expected to increase the production volume of oilseed crops up to 2.3 million tons.
Veniamin Kondratyev added that the region may expand the list of products of non-primary exports. In particular, the processing volume of oilseed raw materials will be increased: for this purpose, the region has a vast potential since the current workload of oil extraction plants makes 55%.
– Additional export-oriented product of deep processing on which we continue to count, - is a soy isolate. It is planned to launch a soy processing plant in the region until the end of 2020, - noted the Governor.
The national project «International cooperation and export» is targeted at achieving a share of export of processing industry products, agricultural products and services in GDP up to 20% as well as incrementing the export growth of non-primary non-energy commodities up to 250 billion US dollars by the year 2024.
